1894-1931 Haviland Limoges Hand-Painted Rose Plate/ 1894-1931 Haviland Limoges

Rooted in the refined tradition of Limoges porcelain at the turn of the 20th century, this elegant plate was produced by Haviland & Co., renowned for its luminous porcelain body and timeless craftsmanship.

The surface is delicately adorned with hand-painted roses, featuring softly layered petals that transition from blush pink to deep crimson, set against a gentle, atmospheric background.

The composition is thoughtfully balanced, with graceful use of negative space that enhances its quiet sophistication and painterly depth.

The underside bears the green “Haviland France” mark, dating the piece to approximately 1894-1931, a period known for fine porcelain blanks decorated by skilled artists.

Signed “T. Johnson,” the decoration reflects the work of an independent studio decorator, highlighting the individuality and hand-crafted nature of the piece.
